Michael grew up in Long Island, New York where he was in the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from St. John’s University School of Law in 2002. In addition, he obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Business Management and Leadership from the City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy from St. John’s University.
Michael has been an attorney for two decades. Initially, he began working as an attorney practicing in the area of intellectual property, business law, and contract law. In the mid-2000s, Michael worked as an attorney in the greater New York City area where he negotiated and settled over 200 cases in various industries. During this period, he negotiated contracts and agreements for all arenas and counseled businesses and individuals to effectively negotiate and settle contract disputes.
He went on to expand his legal career, becoming a mediator and then serving as an Arbitrator with the New York City Court, Small Claims Division. Currently, Michael is also an Arbitrator with FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, which handles arbitration cases on behalf of investors against financial brokerage firms. He works to protect investors and ensure the market’s integrity.
Michael’s commitment to helping people through challenging times has led him to practice probate administration law, helping grieving families navigate the complex probate process. With his diverse and experienced background, he is able to provide clients with the help they need.
In November 2020, Michael was elected to the Wilton Manors City Commission.
In June 2023, Michael successfully completed the Florida Bar Leadership Academy and was awarded the distinguished title of Fellow.
Michael enjoys traveling and playing with his two yorkies.
